Rebooted to Upgraded Knowledge and Info
Very much like our devices and Operating Systems, over time they need updates and upgrades, I believe our mental Operating Systems also require updates and upgrades.
In some cases the software package is so significant that in order to allow an upgrade to take effect and become active the whole system requires a reboot.
A similar concept is true with humans.

Happy New Year
Wishing you all a Happy New Year! 🎆 Happy Valentines Day! ♥️ Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀 Happy Pi Day! 𝛑 and Happy Easter! 🐇 We're well into the second quarter and I'm just now saying "happy new year." I know I’m late and its because I needed time to do extensive research, development, and think about this post. It’s been in development since 1/1/2025. I’ve been collecting ideas, relative thoughts and concepts ever since.
Today’s the day I've finally organized and compiled them into a coherent blog post that I can share with you all.
I hope you enjoy it!
Its Ok To Change Your Mind
It’s ok to change your mind when you receive new information, especially when it challenges an incorrect or popular belief. Previously, I wasn’t thinking clearly and just following the popular consensus instead of doing my own research and learning what was actually true as opposed to the narrative being spoon-fed to us all by mainstream and social media.
I think we need a truly United States now more than ever! Our President has changed his mind and changed policies in an effort to improve the effciency of our government and economy. I think he could use our support in helping him do his job and in return help US and us live better quality lives regardless of our views and opinions of him.
Wishful thinking, I know. Yet, United we stand, divided we fall!
Unusual, Unordinary, and Unprecedented
Whenever you decide to do anything outside of the normal order of things be prepared to receive criticism, ridicule, insults, and maybe even threats. These come for various reasons, some being control or the loss thereof, over you. Another could be jealousy of your ability to persevere where others would’ve stopped and succumb or yield to pressures and conform to societal norms.
I’ve learned that being an outlier in many social settings will cause some people's insecurities to trigger their innate and internal threat detection systems although you mean them no harm whatsoever and you're just "minding your business."
This behavior attracts adversity due to humans being societal beings with hierachical constructs that define your role or position in society. It challenges those who believed they held a higher position when you naturally "de-throne" them without effort. Its infuriating to those who are actual "try hards" and put significant effort into maintaining their position in their social & cultural hierarchical structure.
I developed a special awareness that would allow me to detect the subtle social ques meant to challenge and assert dominance, which allowed me learn how to "read the room." I share this in hopes that it may help to raise your external awareness, improve your self-awareness, and increase your status and situation exponentially.
Thoughts on Minimalism
Minimalism is not for the weak! You’d need a strong mind and ‘sense of self’ to practice it properly.
As a result of my commitment to learning and improving rapidly, I changed my lifestyle. It used to be full of disractions and disorganization. Im surprised I even completed any tasks in that state. I am practicing what is known as minimalism in order to reduce or eliminate distractions and focus on studying!
As an IT professional I must be always learning and if I want to accelerate my learning I must eliminate as many distractions as possible. Minimalism, by default, automatically eliminated so many distractions from my life to the point where I can concentrate in peace. It ain’t for everybody but I do recommend you remove as many distractions as you can if you want to learn really fast!
I have learned so much and learned it super faster than I thought the time it would require of me. I learned GitOps, Docker (better than I thought I did), Kubernetes , K9s , K3s, K3d, KinD, Cilium, Hubble, Tetragon, eBPF, Linux (Kernel level), Networking, Rancher, Rancher Desktop, FluxCD, Renovate, Grafana, Prometheous, Configuration Management and Remote (Cloud) or Local deployments. All of that makes this work flow AGNOSTIC! I have even found a local AWS EKS testing tool called LocalStack which allows you to test your kubernetes cluster in an emulated AWS EKS environment locally before pushing it to production, saving devs so much money!
In the next few weeks I will be rolling out this glorious new workflow with instructions and code for you to practice on your own. In the meantime I welcome you to sign up for my newsletter so you’ll get the earliest notification of my next posts and stay up to date with what I’m working on!
Break Time ☕
Reading through all of this documentation to understand how all of these different systems and frameworks all work together was exhausting, yet necessary!
It was time for a break again! 😫
Back to work
I could give you a Kubernetes workflow right now but it is far from production ready. I need to deliver security, monitoring, observability, networking, deployments, cofiguration management and a sane developer experience all in one and I have finally found it! Enter GitOps!
Like DevOps, GitOps presents a workflow that covers all of those considerations and more! This is the workflow I’ve been looking for! Easy to manage, (once you get it working properly) then you could manage your projects way easier. I need GitOps to bring you containerization and orchestration properly.
With that said I've been grinding super hard (so you don't have to) and learning the Isovalent/cilium way of life and getting cracked (as the youth call it). Older generations refer to this as proficient.
(To the older people who now know what their kids mean when they hear them call each other "cracked" you're welcome. lol)
